OH EM GEE! Today must be the day for JTT news! After being away from Twitter for the majority of my day, I stumbled across this post, courtesy of @mizlizza (the other mastermind behind this tumblr). I can guarantee you I will be purchasing an issue of that Entertainment Weekly the second it hits the newsstands. Seriously, still so adorable after all these years.

I know we’ve been kind of quiet about this topic as of late, but it is hard as hell to find anything recent about this boy. You’d think he’d resurface soon with The Lion King being re-released in theaters next week. One can only hope.

What ever happened to JTT? You know who I’m talking about… the one, the only, Jonathan Taylor Thomas. A friend of mine happened to mention on Twitter that she was watching “The Lion King” the other night. This prompted my search into his whereabouts.
Guess what he’s doing now??? Not a clue!! Nobody knows!?! How the freak does a teen sensation literally fall off the map?? Face it, if you’re a “twenty something” then you probably watched “Home Improvement” and if you’re a girl you also probably had a little crush on ‘Randy Taylor’ played by JTT.
A quick search of Wikipedia, IMDB, and Google adds to this little mystery since there is almost nothing on him since 2001. The only tidbit that can be found ‘post 2001’ is that he attended Columbia University in ‘07-‘10. Given the day and age we live and the ‘connected generation’ that we are, (not to mention the fact that he has a celebrity status) dropping off the ‘radar’ without hardly a “what are they doing now” interview on VH1, is quite astonishing! Which is why I believe, Mr. Weiss, Jonathan Taylor Thomas’ legal last name, should be considered for a job in the CIA.
I know, I know.. it’s a little overkill. It should be noted, however, that had there been a quick line of what JTT was currently doing then neither this blog nor any other blog or post for that matter would be needed. So, Mr. Weiss if you are out there reading this, I have a simple request. Would you please, please consider updating your Wikipedia page? That is all. Then this girl (and perhaps a few others) can rest easy watching those re-runs of “Home Improvement” knowing that all is once again right with the world.
Here’s a little nugget I found in my search of JTT. Who knows, maybe Ari has kidnapped Jonathan and that’s why no one can find him?!

Have you ever, in the vast expanse that is your mind, wondered what happened to your favorite child star? Not the ones that have gone on to achieve success as adults; like the NPH’s or the Drew Barrymore’s of the world. No, we’re talking about the more obscure child stars that have seemingly fallen off the face of the earth since their moment in the spotlight. In particular, whatever happened to Jonathan Taylor Thomas (JTT, for those in the know)? His Wikipedia, IMDB, and Google searches are pretty useless in helping to unravel this mystery. As concerned citizens of America, where celebrities are our versions of royalty, our lack of information regarding beloved child stars is unnerving. That lack of information, however, ends now. Wikipedia and Google be damned.
